Simplifying things.

About stress and the busyness in life, I like to follow the 80/20 rule. This is the concept of figuring out what 20% of our efforts get us 80% of our results, eliminating or changing the unproductive 80% would yield more free time or a changing up would yield more results.  My focus is on elimination of efforts that produce little results for the effort and saving my self time and frustration, remember frustration = stress.

The most helpful prayer for me for years has been. This is one I use on a daily basis.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference. – American theologian Reinhold Niebuhr.

Another Favorite of mine is.

Dear God, I wanna take a minute, not to ask for anything from you, but simply to say thank you, for all I have.

You would be surprised how helpful it is to be grateful for what you have!
